Single aluminum clamp which allows strip material to be investigated for breaking strain, strength etc. Clamp features wing-nut fixing. Typical investigations would include comparison of carrier bag material strength, comparison of paper strength including the grain of newspaper, stretch of fabrics and polythene etc. The clamp is designed for testing thin strips of various materials and provide an easy way of securely clamping the strip so that loads can be applied. The clamp is not suitable for testing low elasticity materials such as metal strips etc. Supplied without weights.

Clamp measures 2.5" tall, 2" at the wider end and 0.75" at the narrow end. Clamp has one 0.325" hole for slotted weights, or for hanging from a lab stand.
